M. Sivanesan does not use his paintings to make statements. He feels that an attempt to make a statement restricts him in many ways. His paintings are reflections of his personal mood at various points of time. ‘People’ are his favorite subjects. He is appreciative of the beauty that he sees in people. The human face and figure are of special interest to him. He has here studios – in New Delhi, Mumbai and Madras. He has exhibited all over the world and is partial to New York where he shows his work every year.
